Teum (틈): Book Club
Join us for 틈 (Teum), our very first Korean-culture related book club! As part of the diverse cultural programs, we will be highlighting books by Korean-American authors or written by Korean authors and translated into English.
The Korean word 틈 can mean a "brief period" or "moment," capturing the idea of a short span of time. 틈 can also refer to an "opportunity" or "chance," suggesting a window or opening in circumstances that allows for action or change.
The first book we are going to read is “The girl who fell beneath the sea” by Axie Oh, inspired by the classic Korean folktale “The tale of Shim Cheong”. It is perfect for fans of Wintersong, Uprooted and Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away.
Space is Limited - Sign Up Today! You'll be contacted once a copy is available.
Simple craft and refreshments will be provided.
Turn the page, savor the moment!
