From all of us here at the Library, we want to thank everyone who made this year’s Beyond the Book 2023 event an amazing success!
At this year’s event, we collaborated with over 30 different local and Los Angeles wide organizations, adding an incredible amount of variety to our event and bringing in people of all types of backgrounds; from our STEM organizations like The Discovery Cube and the Natural History Museum, to our more artistic groups like Project LA and The Stay Gallery; from local independent bookstores like Mijas and iBookPark to amazing performances by Academy Juijitsu & Kickboxing and the legendary Bob Baker Marionette Theater. Beyond The Book celebrated the greater South East Los Angeles community and brought together groups from all corners of Los Angeles to showcase the incredible talent and creativity
