Set against the backdrop of cultural disappearance, this story reflects on what is lost when a language fades, and what can be recovered through connection, reconciliation, and care.

I Dream in Another Language follows a young linguist who travels to a remote region of Mexico to document a nearly extinct Indigenous language. There, he encounters the last two living speakers, whose decades long silence with one another holds the key to the language’s survival. Blending realism with myth, the film reveals how language carries not only words, but memory, identity, and unresolved histories.
